Private plants from Oregon have spiced the lake with 2 to 6 pound trout. Most are being caught with garlic Power Bait. Trollers use Thomas Bouyants or Needlefish. Gull Lake Marina (760) 648-7539; Fishing on Silver Lake has been moderate at best this past week as we have stayed very hot and the fish have continued to go very deep in the water trying to stay cool. We did receive a load of Desert Springs Oregon Fish this past week and a load of DFW stockers as well but the warmer temperatures have kept them slow and low. The best results have been right at day break and later in the afternoons as the shadows are on the water and help to start to cool the waters.
