Merry Christmass everyone I’m writing this a day early because we will be closed tomorrow for Christmas. Due to the rain the lake has risen almost 6 inches. Mt Lassen planted 1000 pounds of trout at the public launch. Water temperature is still around 50 degrees.

Trout are eating all over the lake and that’s the only species caught this week. Salmon eggs and rooster tails are best this week. Good luck everyone and Merry Christmas.

Featured anglers of the week.
Ephrahim Bacatat of San Jose caught a 6 pound rainbow on Salmon Eggs in the Narrows.
Ricky and Kids of Livermore caught a Full limit of trout on Rooster tails in the Narrows.
