Dennis Dunn, Jerry, Fred, Ron and Debbie at the Wild Horse Resort (775) 758-6472: It is iced over with the first four fishermen on the ice at mid-week. We have been below 0 degrees every night for a week. Be cautious on the ice as you venture out, drilling holes in front of you. Wear plenty of warm clothes as daytime highs are in the 20's.

Quarry LakesThe cold weather and a plant of 1,750 pounds of trout last week has turned on the fishing. Another ton is going in this week. Henry Yamaoka of Gilroy caught the big fish of the week, a 12-pound, 10-ounce trout. Right behind that catch was Domingo Sarmiento of Union City, who caught a 10-11 trout.
