The largemouth bass fishing's best early and late in the day working the weed beds and structure. Fish early with ima sticks and frogs and later in the day with jigs for better results. The average bass is going 1 1/2 to 3 pounds, up to an occasional or 6 pounder. The best fishing is taking place on the San Joaquin River side of the Delta in most back sloughs and tributaries.
