Fishing for steelhead should be picking up as we are seeing good numbers of summers entering other basins. The water is low and clear, so use lighter gear and target the deeper holding areas. Trout angling should be fair to good. Concentrate on the tidewater and lower river for Sea Run Cutthroat.

Anglers are reminded that Spring Chinook season closed July 31 on the Wilson. Fall Chinook season does not open until Sept. 16, and the river is closed to salmon angling upstream of Jordan Creek (RM 21.9) Aug. 1 to Dec. 31
