The West is still fishing pretty well, though some anglers are reporting not doing so well. The anglers that are having good success are doing some hiking up and down the river to search out the deeper pools where there are good numbers of fish hanging out. Some of the places that are the easiest to access have been fished hard and are not holding as many fish. Panther martins and roostertails are doing well for the lure anglers, salmon eggs and night crawlers are good for the bait anglers. Fly anglers are still using hoppers, ants, royal wulffs, humpy's, prince nymphs and pheasant tails.
