This last mini-storm boosted flows to 1,300 CFS, but the turb gauges at Delta shows the river remains fishable. Look for laker Browns and ‘Bows making their way up river to spawn. October Caddis should still be on the menu. This isn't your mid-summer, low-flow Upper Sac, you won't be able to wade across your favorite runs to the other side. Look for good holding water, pockets behind rocks & boulders, seams off of deep bedrock pools and you'll get tight to the feisty fish in this gem!

A good fly box will have various sizes of Parachute Adams from #14 - 18, Dark Stonefly Nymphs in #6-8, Black Midge Nymph Patterns and #12 Bird's Nest, #18 Gordon Prince Nymphs. See suggested fly patterns in the accompanying sidebar for reference.
