It’s all coming together for winter steelhead
Recent rains and snowmelt got fish moving into the rivers and now, with moderating weather and water levels, many rivers are falling into shape for winter steelhead fishing. Reports of fish available and improving conditions are coming in from all sections of the coast, the Willamette Valley and for steelhead rivers in the northeast part of the state.

Spring bear hunt application deadline is Feb. 10
As of Monday Jan. 23, 3,681 of the 4,400 first-come, first-serve SW Spring Bear tags had sold. 

Report big game hunt results by Jan. 31, 2017

Bird hunting wrapping up
Zone 2 duck is closed but goose hunting continues in parts of eastern Oregon until Jan. 29. Zone 1 duck closes Jan. 29 and remaining upland bird hunting closes Jan. 31.
