The East is down to 318 cfs right now and is really starting to shape up! As the flows get lower it will become much easier to wade and fish some water that hasn’t been fished for a while. We’ve been talking to some successful anglers who’ve fished both the California and Nevada sides of the river, with some anglers reporting 15 to 20 fish days on both nymphs and streamers. With this flow you’ll still need to add some lead to your rig but it should be easier to get down to where you need to be. We haven’t heard anything about dries yet so get ready to go to the bottom. Patterns that have been successful include: dark lord, wd-40, San Juan worm, micro mayfly, silver streak, rainbow warrior, pheasant tail, soft hackle, dead drift crayfish and sculpzilla, buckskin caddis, fox’s poopah, z-wing caddis and swimming caddis.
