Kokanee action remains strong at Whiskeytown. Yesterday, we started fishing about 8am which is a couple late but it did not matter the Kokanee were hungry. Trolling Sep's Promaster Dodgers with corn tipped hoochieskirt trailers at depths between 45 and 80 feet produced steady action the entire morning. My 3 clients hooked over 2O fish while putting an even dozen in the cooler. The Kokanee are fat and feisty rocketing out of the water many times as they get near the surface. The fish size average 1.5 to 2 pounds with some in the 3 pound class. Fishing should remain strong until the Kokanee head up the creeks inlets to spawn.
Give me a call or email to book a trip to this fantastic fishery. Scott Caldwell 530 905 0758 or Scott@Caldwellfishing.com
