Today we fished Shasta Lake on the McCloud arm near Hirz Bay again and found some nice browns along the shoreline.  Mixing it up a bit with trolling speeds, but the best colors today were white or contained white on the Optimizer spoon.  We trolled a good number of baits behind the boat in the prop wash and had success on some smaller rainbows with black/silver plugs and the Macks Tackle gold/red Hum Dinger.  We're still seeing a mix of pre spawn and post spawn browns, but they are still a challenge and a lot of fun to catch!  Fishing side planers in the windy chop is tough so I'll be back on the water after the winds die down after the weekend.  If I were to go out again tomorrow, I'd be trolling the surface along the bank and dragging the points with big, bright spoons!  Tight lines!
