The water temperature is 64 degrees. The last few days have been nice & cool so make sure to bundle up especially in the early morning hours. Last Stock of Trout was January 17th, 2018, Nest Stock of Trout will be January 31st, 2018. Striper: High Action: Live shad from Skinner has been working extremely well the last couple weeks and Sardines which we sell here at the Lake Skinner Camp Store. These beauties have been caught over near the Inlet and also near Launch Ramp 2. Some Angles have been using cut baits as well. Blue Gill: No Action Reported. Catfish: Low Action- Not much action on Catfish this past week. Try using chicken livers or anchovies, middle of the lake about 50 feet down.. Large Mouth: Low Action: Anglers have been catching Large Mouth on night crawlers, spinner baits, and crank baits, over at the East End. Trout: Trout have been caught over near Launch Ramp 2, using Power Bait which is sold at the Camp Store.. 600 pounds will be stocked on January 31, 2018. Carp: No Action Reported. Striper: High Action: Working well this week is catching live shad from Skinner over near the Inlet early mornings, also near Launch Ramp 2 area using Sardines that we carry at The Camp Store. The water temperature is 60-62 degrees. Striper: High Action: Anglers have caught many Stripers this week early morning hours at the Inlet using Anchovies, shad, spooks and chicken livers, top water lures and jigs. Blue Gill: Low Action: Blue gills this week at Launch Ramp 1 off the peaks using night crawlers. Catfish: Low Action: Slow for cats, only a few reported this past week.
