February is staring off the right way. Gorgeous spring like weather and biting Klamath river Steelhead.  We are currently experiencing weather in the mid 60's and sunny, perfect for a comfortable drift down the river.

Fishing for Steelhead right now is all about working the river slow and not being impatient. Just when you think it was time move on down that is when the fish would bite. Rapalas Maglips and worms all backtrolled very very slow has been the most productive methods.

Steelhead up to 6 pounds have been caught and released so far this month. These hard fighting fish are blast on light tackle. Traffic on the river is minimal so if your looking to get away and enjoy some piece and quiet cone fish with me.
