Today fellow big brown hunter, Mike Fisher and I hit Shasta Lake in search of some big trout.  The morning was cold and wet, but the browns were biting.  Trolling big Optimizer spoons at 3.8 mph once again proved to be a sure thing and we had a great borwn in the boat early on.  We managed to catch some other fish, but by noon the bite was slow and the lake had glassed over.  It was a short day, but as always, any day is a good day to hold a nice brown trout for the camera man!  High pressure has moved into the region so I would expect a good bite again when a consistent pattern settles in on Shasta Lake.  I have some available dates in April so if you have the itch to fish, give me a call and we can get your day of fishing on the books!  Tight lines!
