Bridgeport fished excellent this past week, not from the shore but the anglers fishing out of boats did very well. Most of our regular trollers have switched to bait fishing due to the weed growth out there lately however, we did talk to one angler who gave trolling a try out near Rainbow Point and has some very good success on several 3 and 4 pounders as well as a bunch of 1 to 2 pounders, all these fish were caught trolling crawlers and Thomas Bouyants. The bait and fly angling have been awesome in the Buckeye Bay Area as well as some good action still in the East Walker channel area just off the marina. Bait anglers are using mice tails, pinched crawlers, powerbait and inflated crawlers. Fly anglers are using blood midge patterns, soft hackles, chironomids, ice cream cones and damsel nymph
