Today we fished Shasta Lake again and we found a better bite than yesterday. With a huge moon, cooling water temps and a rapid dropping of lake levels, fishing has been a challenge. Breaking away to run salmon trips the past few weeks broke the tempo we had going as well, but I'm on the lake all this week and I'm already back to finding some of the bigger trout. We're still digging deep for our fish and with 120' of line out, hook sets can be a challenge. We lost a really nice rainbow today that shot up from 100' like a cruise missle! Two big awesome aerial jumps and she was gone,,,
