The Fishing has Been Pretty Good Overall

The flows on the East have been bouncing up and down a bit lately but it doesn’t seem to have affected the fishing much.  Right now it’s running at about 144 cfs.  The fishing has been pretty good overall though of course we get some poor reports mixed in with the good ones.  The good reports have been from anglers mostly fishing nymphs but the streamer action is improving lately as well.  It sounds like there’s about 2 or 3 hours midday, from about 11:30 to 2:30 or so when the fishing dramatically slows but before that and after that it’s been good.  The weather is supposed to be changing a bit this week so I’d expect the caddis to start going away but so far they’re still eating some caddis nymphs as well as small midges.
Recommended Flies:
Buckskin caddis, Fox’s poopah, LaFontaine’s deep sparkle pupa, silver streak, rainbow warrior, san juan worm, squirmy wormy, flashback emerger,  WD-40, disco midge, top secret midge, radiation baetis, dead drift crayfish, dark lord, sculpzilla, zuddler.
