The Sacramento River is actually holding a lot of fish already and pods of Kings have been seen pushing upstream quickly.  Thats typical for this time of the year and our guides are working up and down the river to keep a bead on them.  Some days produce a hot bite, some days we just missed them.  So far I can say that we've caught Kings every trip since both of the sac salmon openers.  Early season Kings are quality fish and thats the prize for your efforts.  Soon enough we'll have both fresh fish and lots of them.  By September, we should be seeing some limits and some shorter days chasing them.  By October the fishing will be very good in the Anderson area, but it will be numbers over quality.  Either way, its all fun, the tug is the drug!!!
