Laregmouth Bass Have Been Schooled up in The Mornings

In the morning the largemouth have been schooled up, and chasing Silversides out in open water. Small swimbaits, flukes, rip baits and top waters all worked for the breaking fish. The mid day hours, and evening its been finesse techniques in the 25’ to 35’ of water. There were some bluegill reported, but most were under a quarter pound. No catfish were reported to the concession last week.

Still waiting for the surface action to really turn on here, thought there have been some reports of schools chasing small silversides during mid morning hours. Good news is that there is a solid finesse bit in the evening in approximately 35’ to 40’ of water. Not much has changed here since last week, bass are still working the shoreline for small bluegill and largemouth fry. Top waters, and small swimbaits have been working for these fish. Later in the day, drop shotting on the outside of grass edges has been the ticket. Only a handful of bluegill were reported to the concession last week. All other species were a no show. ......
