Colorado River - Laughlin - Laughlin, NV

Rocky Beria was fishing from his sea doo here along the Colorado river below Davis dam in the nature center area. He was using anchovies and landed a just under 4 pound striper. This fish weighed in at 3.94 pounds and was 23 and 5/8 inches. And yep the PWCs make great fishing boats. Scott Morrison and his net buddy Frank Rodriguez landed a nice 11.04 pound striper at 32 and 1/2 inches. Scott had just purchased a glide bait and was trying it out while fishing from his boat by the casino row.
The striper bite is going well both the Colorado river here below the Davis Dam and above the Davis Dam on Lake Mohave. There are also some small mouth bass action along the river and on the lake with plastic producing well. No word from the Marsh as of yet but I am sure the large mouth bass are active along with some channel cats. I have heard of a few hook ups of some catfish in the Upper Big Bend area. Our community park area should be producing a few as well. The evening seems to be a bit better for the catfish. No word on trout but I am getting reports that the early mornings the fish are on a feeding frenzy while dinning on the caddis fly.
