Today we fished below Balls Ferry in Anderson and battled the wind a good part of the day. Fishermen don't like wind and it can create some difficult conditions to fish in. Fortunately there are enough salmon below Anderson to keep guides and anglers busy in a good way. We caught a few fish on plugs today, but that bite shut down quickly, and the egg bite was pretty darn good for a lot of anglers. I fished plugs a bit longer than I should have but when the nets started to come up in the holes fished with eggs, I quickly changed over and got some King bites fairly quickly. The salmon that we're catching have been the system for a while, but they are big and they are really fighting hard. These salmon are full of raw power and getting them to the net can be a chore for a lot of our clients. Pure fun though and I highly recommend fishing this season. Theres a lot of 20+ lb Kings around this year!
