The 2019/2020 Balance of the state waterfowl season has been hit or miss thus far and challenging but for hunters willing to put in the time and move around success can be greatly improved. With minimal storms and tough conditions, the migration really hasn’t shown itself yet. I’ve primarily focused my time on public ground and moved around from up highway 5, to back home closer to Sacramento. Successful hunts depend on key elements of good calling, precise decoy placement and capitalizing on shots when they present themselves. The RBBASS crew has done a phenomenal job targeting waterfowl this year through being versatile and persistent. You don’t have to have a “fancy” club although that is easier most of the time but with some effort and a little knowledge, heavy straps are abroad!!! Stay safe, shoot straight and keep your eyes to the sky!
