Wednesday’s plant is the first of two consecutive weekly trout plants and was a shot in the arm for the trout bite. Gary Greetis owns bragging rights for big fish of the week with his 14.20# whopper caught on orange & white powerbait near the Crappie Float. The late bite has been more productive then the early bite and they have been catching the trout on Senior Shoreline and on the east end.

The bass bite remains slow with very few bass being reported. Largemouth Bass can be found around structure. They respond well to crawdads, swimbaits, and dark colored plastics.

The crappie have been elusive, for the most part, having retreated to their winter haunts. Crappie are most often caught on finger jigs or live golden shiners.
