Today my wife and daughter got to come out for a few hours before we bowed to the windy water conditions and called it a day. Fortunately we found some nice fish including a few average sized King salmon and a hefty brown trout before heading in. Its still early in the season, but if things keep up the way they have been, we should have a great spring on Shasta Lake. We found fish at 30'-50', but a friend on the lake today found some good rainbow action around 15'. Big winds this weekend into Monday, but next week looks good on Shasta Lake so far. I have a few open dates in March available for brown trout and quite a few left in April for now.
