Striped Bass: Bite has picked up with several nice fish being caught near the inlet. A much better grade than usual. Anglers had success tossing chicken liver into the flowing current of the inlet.
Blue Gills: High Action for Blue Gill using mealworms and night crawlers. Fish are suspended in deeper water. Where you find one, you are bound to find others.
Catfish: The bite was a bit slower this week with only a few catfish reported. We suggest checking out new spots with the changing water level.
Largemouth Bass: Largemouth bass bite has improved. Fish seem to be grouped together. A slow rolled hard bait can be very effective. The water temp is still low so use a slower retrieve.
Trout : Stockings are back to regular scheduled dates, being every other week. For best results try to come target trout as soon as possible after a delivery of fresh fish. Use powerbait or minijigs. Next Trout Stock is March 4th, 2020.
