Rolling right along on the Truckee River. 

Hooking pretty good numbers of fish every morning. That is, if you can wade and get around in the river. Trouts are in the fast oxygenated water. You have to get in there and get to them. You have to cover water and understand where exactly to put your flies. Get out in the mornings, that is your best time to fish.

Super windy this weekend, but we’ll get back to the normal summer pattern. Cool mornings, hot afternoons. It’s pretty much high desert from the Hirsch on down. It gets hot in the afternoons, and the fishing is always shitty. Wait until dark and get some on dries. Go get your nymph on in the mornings. Repeat this until about September.

Flows are still a bit high. Really good for our trouts. They have some water coming out of Lake Tahoe now. Tough to wade some stuff though. Staffs and good wading boots help.
