Catfish were planted yesterday and are being caught throughout the lake. Our final catfish plant will take place in two weeks on July 31st.

Largemouth Bass can be found lurking around structure and respond well to crawdads, frogs, and other dark colored plastics. Justin Kennedy of Valley Center caught & released a 6.10# bass Sunday using a plastic worm in Boat Dock Cove.

The first of three July catfish plants went in yesterday. We have recently expanded our bait options to include catfish bait. We now offer frozen; chicken liver, mackerel, and anchovies. Largemouth Bass can be found lurking around structure and respond well to crawdads, frogs, and other dark colored plastics. Crappie are being caught in modest numbers. Catfish Bite Remains Solid

The catfish bite remains solid and should pick up considerably over the Fourth of July weekend thanks to Friday’s scheduled plant. We have recently expanded our bait options to include catfish bait. We now offer frozen; chicken liver, mackerel, and anchovies. There has been a notable increase in the number of largemouth bass being caught.
