Bass Fishing Has Been Good This Week

Bass fishing has been good this past week, as fish from 2lbs. to 4lbs. Keeping anglers busy. There has been a lot of options for the largemouth, such as frogs in grassy areas, drop shot has been producing throughout the day. If your into chasing boils, there has been some good action on the breaking fish early, and late in the day. Mudlines created on the busier days have also been productive on a wide variety of reaction baits.
Bluegill action tapered off some, although there were still some nice stringers reported to the concession last week. Backs of coves and read with large boulders have been the best locations for the panfish. There were a few catfish spotted in the Toll Road Arm of the lake, but no reports of anyone catching any.

San Vicente ReservoirThe bass are still biting well here, early morning hours had most anglers throwing the frog or chasing boils. Later in the day and into the early evening there’s been a good reaction bite in mud lines all over in the main lake areas. Drop shotting robo worms in 25’ to 35’ has been producing throughout the day. San Vicente ReservoirThere’s a good reaction bite in the mud lines as of late, with rip baits, a-rigs, flukes and small swimbaits all working for bass in the 1 to 3 pound range. Drop shooting has also been working well in the 20’ to 30’ of water. The lakes bluegill and red ear population are still biting well drop shotted meal worms or crawlers.
