After a few days of rest, Captain Justin Thompson guided two clients for King salmon on the Sacramento River below Red Bluff. An early plug bite put the first fish in the box making for a great start for the day. Things slowed down and a lot of boat traffic put the salmon down until 9:00 when a switch to bait opened an opportunity to hook and land three more Kings before noon. With limits in the box, Captain Justin headed for the barn and called it a successful day of fishing. Limits haven't been a daily thing, but we are landing fish every day so far this season. Its really early in the season so expect to see even more great fish reports in the coming weeks. Thank you!
