There are Bluefin being caught here in the Monterey Bay. They seem to be moving up and down the coast from 36'47/122'05 down to 36'36'122'00. They are chasing bait with the whales. There were some triple hook ups reported trolling Rapalas and Cedar Plugs. People are getting spooled and breaking knots. I can not express how essential it is to have the right rods, reels, Fluorocarbon, and hooks to land these fish. There were a few Salmon caught near the Soquel Hole and Soldiers Club. The Halibut bite is still going great in front of Santa Cruz and Capitola. The Rock fishing is good near Davenport. The wind was down today due to the fog.
