Fall weather often ushers in a feeding binge amongst the larger catfish. If catching a monster catfish, or breaking the lake record, is something that appeals to you, this is the time to rig up for a big one. Lake Wohlford cats are partial to shrimp, cut mackerel, and chicken liver.

Small to medium sized bass are feeding on the plentiful bait fish in tight to shore. Shad raps can take advantage of this if the bass haven’t already gorged themselves.

Crappie fishing is best in the early morning. Crappie prefer live golden shiners or mini-jigs.
