Fishing has finally started to show signs of improvement lately. More and more anglers are reporting that largemouth and smallmouth have been feeding on the shad still, but mainly a little deeper. There has been some surface action throughout the day, but daily a little deeper. There has been some surface action throughout the day, but nothing like a month ago. Guys are using small reaction baits and finesse style plastics, and goo gold drop shot to get the job done.

The stripers have still been tough to target with most catches and lug worms.

The catfish are still picking up a chunk of mackerel or anchovy and garlic nightcrawler every now and then.

The bluegill and crappie bite has been tough and the lower lake has been the place to go for these species.

Hopefully by next month we will see a trout stocking but he DFW. With the temperatures cooling down the water, more and more hold over the rainbows have been caught.
