Its no secret that Northern California got pounded with rain and snow this week.  Every major freeway/highway was closed to travel in our area making Redding the most logical selection for our steelhead fishing trips this week.  Captain Justin Thompson was back at it today and although it was wet and cold on the water today, the fishing was really great for todays clients.  These fish are every bit as challenging to land on our ultra light trout gear, but when you're hooking 20-40 fish a day, missing a few doesn't really matter.  Its a blessing to operate out of an area that can realistically provide fishing opportunities every day of the year.  The Sacramento River will continue to fish really well through spring, especially with some increases in flows and the increased spawning salmon presence in the Redding area over the next few months.
