Fishing on the Crooked is going to be a good bet the next couple of days as the weather warms back up and the fish become more active again. I would expect to see some baetis out there around midday and midges in the mornings. Different parts of the canyon will be warmer than others based on the amount of sun exposure a certain stretch is getting throughout the day. Focus on the sunny spots where the water will be a few degrees warmer and the hatch a little more prolific. When bugs are not on the water your standard nymphing techniques including tight line or dry dropper fishing are gonna do the trick. Small baetis and midges in size 18-24 with darker bodies and tungsten beads are the go to.

Suggested Dries:  Purple Haze #18-20, Tilt Wing BWO #18-20, Parachute BWO #16-20, Para Wulff BWO #18, BWO Sparkle Dun #18-22, BWO Emerger #18-20, Chubby Chernobyl #12-14

Suggested Nymphs: Black Zebra Midge #18-22, Juju Baetis #18-22, Tailwater Tiny #18-20, Two Bit Hooker #18-20, Bead Wing Midge #18-22, Zika Jig #16-18, Perdigon #18-20
