Delta Comprehensive Report 2/16-22

Here’s a quick Delta report from February 16th to 22rd. Water temp on the Delta is anywhere from 53-57degrees. The largemouth bite is picking up! We’ve been averaging 15-30 keepers a trip with an occasional fish over 5 pounds. Areas like Franks Tract, Big Break, and Little Mandiville has been producing larger than average size bass.

Most of the Bass we’ve been catching are in staging areas of the ponds near patches of tules or rows of submerged wood. High-Outgoing tide has been the best using lipless bait such as an IMA Suspend Vibe or a Chatterbait. As the tide drops out I switch to a 1/8oz Texas rigged Net Bait Dagger. The fish are in full pre-spawn mode, feeding up heavily. Fish are moving up daily.
