Inconsistency in The Bass Bite Lately

There has been inconsistency on the bite as of lately. One day the bass are real shallow and active and the next day they are deep and lethargic. Regardless if you are fishing deep or shallow move your bait slowly as the bass are not quite in the attacking mode. If you present the bait right in front of their face they have no choice but to bite. Drop shot plastics in the tallies off the point has been the best. Robo and MM11 have beeb working best. Greetings from Lake Miramar in Scripps Ranch. Fishing picked up this week with all species coming out to play. Bass are biting on live red worms and night crawlers which are available at the boat shop. Plastics with a drop shot are also doing well. Bluegill are still biting on smaller wax and meal worms.
