The RV Park is usually full. Tent camping is closed for the season. The boat ramp at Area A is almost usable for small vessels, but quite muddy. With the low water, trout stocking has been postponed here until early April. Warmwater fishing should be starting to turn on a bit. Black crappie fishing and largemouth bass fishing should be starting to pick up on warmer spring days. With continued low water, access will likely be mostly a bank angler’s game or personal watercraft situation.
For more information on park facilities closures visit the Jackson County Parks website.
The reservoir continues to slowly rise and is at 13 percent.
