Bass Have Been Moving Up Slowly

Bass have been moving up slowly, but are still scattered in 2’ to 25’ of water. The lake has been receiving a lot of pressure as of late, making the bite a bit more difficult than should be at this time of year. Finesse techniques ahem been working the best. No catfish or panfish were reported to the marina last week.

Winter-like weather has kept most of the bass population in deeper water. There have been some largemouth on the  bank, but most of these are bucks in the 1-1.5 lb. range. The better fish for the most part have been in the 20’ to 30’ of water. Finesse presentation of all types produced both shallow and deep.
