2021 OPENER REPORT

Opening weekend is in the books. Just when it seemed as though we might not get out and fish on opening day, we kept a close watch on the wind and found our way out during a calmer period. Good thing we did, as we brought in over a dozen quality fish in mostly unfavorable, gusty conditions. Fishing wasn't wide open but a good, steady pick was had. Considering the windy conditions we had to deal with coupled with cold water (48°), this opening day wasn't too shabby for us. Sunday brought us more of the same with the wind up and down and steady pick on good grade fish again, topped by a 21", 4 lb rainbow. We saw great signs of fish where we like to see them this time of year and look forward to getting on them with the better weather headed our way!
