The river is running good with a little green tint to it. I ventured up last week with Renee and I caught a fish on my second cast. CDFW has planted the river this week and has a scheduled plant later in the month. I spoke with Phil at the Carson River Resort. Phil shared some pictures with me. Claude Spears from San Jose CA caught a 5lb rainbow on salmon eggs. 13 year old Brandon Hunter from Modesto CA caught a nice rainbow also using salmon eggs. Glenn Miller from South Lake Tahoe CA caught a 5lb rainbow while fly fishing with a grub. For more information or to get your picture taken with your catch, stop by the Carson River Resort.
Good luck on your next fishing adventure. If you have a question. a report in our local fishing area or have a photo of your catch, send it to nevada@fishreports.com. Hope to see you on the waters. Good fishin' and tight lines.
