Fish lake received 500 “pounder” rainbow trout last week, in addition to the 4,500 legal rainbow trout two weeks ago. Fishing has been very good up here and the weather fantastic. Anglers are reminded that it is illegal to use live fish as bait in any Oregon lake, river or stream. Fish Lake Marina and Store opens on Friday. Call ahead to book a boat rental! It’s best to call ahead to confirm the most current status of the lodge and café: 541-949-8500 or check their Facebook page.
The lake is still slowly rising and is at 48 percent capacity. Both the USFS and resort ramps are usable.
