The Crooked River has been fishing well. Flows have dropped down to 204 CFS which is really excellent. Dry fly action is good in the mornings and evenings, mainly with caddis around size 16 or 18. Terrestrials have the potential to fool fish at any time of day. Pale morning dun hatches are also productive. Nymphing has been productive with small mayfly nymphs, size 16 - 20. Caddis pupae have good potential. Whitefish are typically glued to the bottom and trout are often feeding above the whities. Swinging your flies is a good way to imitate an emerging insect and get your nymphs in front of feeding trout.
