Hunt by Reservation

The ODFW Hunt by Reservation Program brings hunters and landowners together to provide quality hunting experiences on private land. By making a reservation online, hunters receive a permit to hunt select private lands on dates pre-selected by landowners.

Tips for e-tagging

Whether you plan to hit the field for deer or the water for salmon this weekend, here are some tips for tagging your harvest.

We’re looking at a coyear for coho

Coho salmon are “pouring” over Willamette Falls and are now well-distributed in the Clackamas (and the Sandy, too) and arriving at the Stayton fish counting station on the Santiam. On the coast, the wild coho fishery is red hot in Coos Bay right now.

Clatsop beaches open for razor clams

Razor clamming opens on the popular and prolific Clatsop County beaches this Friday, Oct. 1. Razor clam abundance in this area is the highest seen since 2004 when ODFW began assessing the population. If this is your year to try razor clamming, here are some tips to get you started.

A big weekend for bird hunters

Rooster pheasant, chukar and Hungarian partridge seasons open on Saturday. As does duck hunting in Zone 2. To see what the season might hold, check out the game bird hunting forecast.

Early season duck hunting tips

Duck hunting seasons open in the next week (Zone 2) or two (Zone 1). Check out these early season hunting tips for targeting resident birds.
