The bass bite was a bit scratchy last week, but anglers willing to put in the effort managed some decent numbers. It was mostly a fineese bite in 25' to 35' of water, all over the lake. Still no signs of fish schooling up, and chasing bait as of yet.  Big fish went to Mark Alcado of San Diego, who stuck a 9.1 on a fluke. All other species went unreported to the marina last week.

The bass bite is on an upswing right now, they're schooling up, and chasing silversides up on top. Small swimbaits, flukes, and top waters all produced results on the breaking fish early, and late in the day. There is still a bit of a finesse bite as well in 20' to 30' of water all over the lake. Both panfish, and catfvish went unreported to the concession last week. ...... Read More
