Pit River Fishing Report
Pit River - CA (Modoc County)

Report: Releases from Lake Britton have topped 2,7700 CFS in the past few days. Looking at the gages at Big bend and on Pit 5, the flows are around 400-425 CFS which are a little high, but doable. However, the storm appears to have muddied up the river, the gage is showing it is getting cloudy. We have not had any recent first hand reports to say for sure, but we would recommend going to another stream like the Upper Sacramento. It dropped in and is fishing great.
As always, the flows on the Pit can and will change without notice, so definitely check before you go! And be prepared to get out when the river begins to rise.
Here are some useful links to monitor the flows:

Pit 5 - Through Big Bend
