We’re hoping to hear about the first trout plant this week so stay tuned for that. The bass bite has slowed somewhat. Flicker shad and most crank baits are working well. Catfish are biting on mackerel and stink bait. There was a report of crawdads working as well in the deeps. Bluegill are still biting on live worms and crickets.

Fishing was a little temperamental this week. It was hit or miss and seemed a little erratic. Bass are biting first thin in the morning that is your best bet, to get out there early in the morning. Cooler temperatures call for more finesse fishing for bass at this time of year. Flisker shad crank bait etc. are the got to now. The docks across the lake have been the best spots this week with one angler reporting 3 bass and 2 Bluegill landed. We’re still waiting for new on the first trout stock so stay tuned.
