Sacramento River rainbow trout fishing was really good for Jim and his grandson today, we put 25 to 30 fish in the net in a few hours. The fishing on the Sacramento River is world class trout fishing. Today we did best side drifting small piece's of natural cured eggs. These fish can't help there self when they see a perfect piece of roe. We are running ultra light g.loomis rods with 6lb test line. So trying to land some of these hard fighting fish will definitely test your skill level. They will peel line like a adult steelhead. Both spin fishing or fly fishing is a great way to go. We are fishing from Redding ca down to Anderson ca, there is 35 miles of prime trout/steelhead water. This is a great fishery for all ages, the good news is the fishing is good just about every day. So there is never a bad time to book your next fishing trip!
