The lake rose to 21 percent of capacity, and fishing improved along with last week’s trout plant. Trout anglers fooled’em with dough baits, minijigs, Mousetails, and spinners. The trout plant stirred up the largemouth, and some impressive bass were landed by anglers throwing trout imitations and jigs. Bass also went for drop shot, Ned rigs, and creature baits in deeper water. Catfish ate cut baits, nightcrawlers, and chicken liver.
