The river is active with rainbow trout, channel catfish, and stripers. Trout are hitting gold spinners with red polka dots, but PowerBait is always a good option. Anglers are reporting catfish taking anchovies fished off the bottom about 100 feet from shore. The striper bite is slow, but some shore anglers have had luck using Glide Baits below Davis Dam. Near the Big Bend of the Colorado River State Recreation Area, largemouth bass are hitting on watermelon and pumpkin-colored plastics near vegetation
