The first catfish stock of the season was a success and they are actively catching stocker catfish in Boat Dock Cove right now. Lake Wohlford cats prefer chicken liver, shrimp, or cut mackerel.
A good number of nice sized crappie are being caught in the early morning hours. Crappie bite mini-jigs and live golden shiners. They can be found under the cover of shade; underneath the crappie float, fishing piers, or hiding in the rocks.
Bass are in tight to shore gorging themselves on the plentiful shad. Bass respond well to shad-raps, senko worms, and swim baits.
